Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Recently, artist friends and I painted in the alley behind Maple and Vine--the back of Holden Hardware, Pastime Barber and Billiard Shop, Dr. Hopkins' office, and others. What fun we had! A young woman stopped by to chat, watch, and photograph us. She mentioned that she had lost her grandmother and had plenty of time to chat. After I expressed my condolences on the loss of her grandmother, she explained that she (the grandmother) was in an attorney's office on College Street and asked if we could give her directions. The young men in the billiard parlor were kind enough to let us use the restroom, and the drivers of the FedEx and UPS trucks didn't stay parked in our line of sight very long. All in all, a great day!

As a toddler, I sat underneath quilts in large frames as my mother, grandmothers, and their friends created delicate, feathery patterns with their stitches. Gazing up at the “stained glass” fabric, I watched them push their tiny quilting needles through the layers of muslin, cottony batting, and colorful squares. That is my earliest memory of beautiful art. Following their lead, I grew up sewing and quilting, and many years later, I began to explore drawing and painting, studying under the guidance of Susan Truex. I enjoy painting images of people and things that are important to me, whether it’s a still life of eggs or rusty heaps, portraits of family and friends, or landscapes of lush fields or dark alley ways.
